Spring I/O 2021 postponed 30/03/2021

We've been eagerly anticipating our 9th Spring I/O Conference, scheduled for May 20-21, 2021, in Barcelona. But due to the ongoing uncertainty and with great regret we have to postpone Spring I/O again.

Although we were excited at the potential of gathering together in person again this year (also considering dates in the second half of 2021), our main priority is to ensure that everyone can join us for a safe conference. We are hopeful to host a wonderful in-person event again in May 2022. All 2020/2021 ticket will be valid for 2022, however, if you prefer to get a full refund, let us know at info@springio.net before 31st Oct 2021.

Meanwhile, I invite you to save the new date of May 26-27, 2022, for the next Spring I/O conference and join the Spring community. We look forward to welcoming you to Barcelona next year!

Spring I/O 2020 cancelled 30/07/2020

Spring I/O 2020 was scheduled for 14-15 May 2020 and was postponed to 8-9 October. Today we are saddened to announce that Spring I/O 2020 will be cancelled due to the current situation and uncertainty.

We've been evaluating all the possibilities and working on the new safety policies and measures along with our venue, but unfortunately, the situation hasn't evolved as expected in the last weeks and it's far from improving. People and safety first.

Our conference has been growing over the years and it now receives attendees from 45 countries. The difficulties of international travelling and the travel bans would make it impossible for all the community to gather together.

What happens to my ticket? All ticket holders will receive an email with the option of either transfering the ticket to Spring I/O 2021 (20-21 May) or receiving a full refund (until 9 Oct 2020, all tickets will be transfered automatically to 2021 after this date).

This year everything has played against us, but we'll come back stronger. We want to thank you all for your ongoing support and understanding, stay safe and healthy!

Spring I/O postponed to 8-9th October 2020 16/03/2020

Considering the growing escalation of COVID-19 outbreak around the world and the urgent need of social distancing to slow down the spread of the virus, we have decided to postpone Spring I/O 2020 in Barcelona to 8-9th October 2020.

Even if this might be disappointing, the unprecedented global challenge associated with the current COVID-19 pandemic, requires acting responsibly, our first and foremost concern is the health and safety of everyone. We have been discussing with our speakers and sponsors before making this announcement and we are extremely thankful for the support they have shown to us.

We are fully committed to the success of Spring I/O and we are working hard to solidify details as quickly as possible. All tickets will be automatically transferred to our rescheduled show in October. If that doesn't work for you, please get in touch with us (before 31st March).

We know this is a challenging time for everyone and appreciate your understanding.

Coronavirus Status Update 04/03/2020

With the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and some conferences cancelled, we have received several emails asking for the status of Spring I/O 2020. We wanted to provide an update given the concerns.

Spring I/O 2020 is scheduled for 14-15 May 2020, we continue planning for yet another great conference. We don't have any plans to cancel or postpone the event at this point.

The team is in close contact with the Spanish and Catalan public health authorities. We are monitoring the recommendations of the health authorities and are paying close attention to new developments and guidances. Additional safety measures will be in place during the event.

This is an unprecedent situation which is changing every day, we remain watchful but also focused on delivering what is an extremely important and valuable event for the Spring community. We'll be posting updates as the situation evolves.

We are really thankful for the support we have received from our sponsors, speakers and attendees who continue to register and plan for the show.

Looking forward to meeting the Spring community and welcome you all in bootiful Barcelona for two days of Spring magic this May!
